My medications were adjusted and I have been symptom free sense that time. In I became a stay-at-home mom, so when all this happened I did not have a job or any other means to support myself. Due to this, I agreed to let my stay with their father so they would be provided for. I have since found full time employment and would be able to provide for them as well. We have a Temporary Parenting Plan in place, on that is extremely vague in terms. It includes phrases such as “which weekends per month shall be by mutual agreement of both parties” and “every other week with Respondent, starting with week One of Schedule”. My ex takes full advantage of this vague language to excuse his violating the Parenting Plan. I have tried taking him to court to have the language revised and clarified. However, the last time I attempted this, his attorney argued that the matter was “not ripe for review”. The commissioner agreed, threw out my proposal and told me to get a lawyer. I worked with LAW Advocates for 18 months, they helped me prepare my paperwork and file petitions. I was repeatedly told that they could not represent me in court. Thus, I began interviewing lawyers, desperate for help, even though I could not afford an attorney.
